The Quilt Pattern Magazine Giveaway and My Own Surprise Giveaway

The Quilt Pattern Magazine is a brand new online magazine that will be available from Jan.2011.
It's packed full of wonderful patterns and projects. No more waiting for a magazine to be delivered by mail.
  • You can file your favorite patterns on your computer or
  • You can print the patterns you need and organize them in a folder
  • You have instant access to the magazine as soon as its published
To win a year's subscription, go look at their website and and comment about the magazine on my post here. There is no room to comment on their website. In January, one name will be drawn for a free subscription for all of next year.

Here is my surprise:
If you came back and commented about the magazine here at my post, you will be entered in my draw too, but only if you commented on the magazine. Now, you have a chance to win two prizes...How nice is that!

My prize is a surprise Irish package which will include The Irish Quilting Magazine and some other Irish goodies, and it will be drawn on December 30th at 1 PM my time.
Remember your comment must be done here at my post, not at the website.

I can't wait to see the magazine and get it each month. I love patterns, and this is going to be a great way for me to collect tons of wonderful quilting patterns.

I love digital patterns. They are so easy to store and you only need to print the bits you need. They download so fast these days too. I won a pattern from a contest several months ago and got the pattern I day won - bonus!

Looks like an interesting idea. Have you submitted any patterns, I saw that you were on their blog roll.

I love this kind of magazine. No more paper or just that what you want. And, I agree with Gill! Those shipping costs are often an issue to me.

That is a great way to have subscriptions...we all use our computers now more than paper copies it seems. I know I don't order magazines anymore..there is just too much stuff online for everything imaginable.
I looked at the sneak peek, and am glad they are doing runners. I vowed 2011 would be a year of runners...for myself and giftgiving. I've never made one and i've been quilting for over 20 yrs! Hope to win this subscription and start on that new resolution!

I'd heard of the Quilt Pattern Magazine, and now that I've had a look at it, I know I'd enjoy it. The applique album quilt on the cover is great-I was always first an appliquer, tho I now do more patchwork too. Storing patterns on the computer makes so much sense, doesn't it?
I enjoy your blog (through Google Reader), only in part because of my Irish heritage and my Irish name.
Thanks very much for entering me into your generous giveaway.

This kind of magazine is simply marvelous, as you print when you need, and than burn all on CD, not too much place, and I must admit that no place on the shelves, because here is Susanna, cross sticher magazine, crochet etc etc. Weell, this is my first comment, and if you need more for to be included in the game, I'll left more and more. Regards. Loredana.

What a brilliant idea, very 'green' too as we will only print off what we will use. A fabulous prize on it's own, but you are offering another of your own too. Christmas and New Year all in one package so to speak. I would love the chance to win either Micki, thank you for the chance.

Hi Micki,
The Quilt Pattern Magazine is an interesting concept that I know works for Counted Cross Stitch so I'm sure will work nicely for quilting, how exciting! Would be nice to receive the first publication to really check it out so please enter me in your drawing.
Jane

PS: Thanks for the lovely comments about the Alien Invasion quilt on my blog, quiltsmiles. I didn't follow any pattern just worked up this version on EQ5 and had a jelly roll from Moda. I actually had to dive into my stash to select a couple of extra fabrics for the nine patch and rail blocks to have enough to finish it in the size I wanted. Thankfully they worked. Because of the Moda jelly roll of Alien Invasion fabric, I thought of the little creature for the back and the concept and idea is mine alone. Pretty scary where I live huh! I seem to be my worse nightmare always thinking outside of the box and making more work for myself but I don't care for the cookie cutter quilts mimicking each other. I like each one to be unique and a process unto itself. Oh well it works for me so far and I'm way to old to change. LOL
Glad it was something you enjoyed. Jane

Ok... so my favorite part of a magazine is the ability to carry it into the bathroom with me... But I was surprised by how easy the pages were to read and how quickly they came up on the screen. And I found your blog on the blog tour! Fun to say I KNOW WHO THAT IS!!!!! Thanks for the chance to win! And, as always, I love following your news!

Cindy F said...

I like the idea of a digital magazine. I can't tell you how many magazines I have here! I'm always planning on going through them tearing out what I think I might make but I never get around to doing that so I have a huge collection of them! I wish the magazine had more pages available to view but I understand why they didn't. Who would pay for something you got free? Thanks for the giveaways!!

crickets said...

Wow, an extra prize - thx! I can't wait for this magaizne. Not only is the content going to be wonderful, but the fact that it's digital is so welcome. I abhor the piles of magazines that collect around me small house. With this e-mag, I choose what to print when...saving time, trees and space. It's simply spectacular!

Hi Micki...finally back from all my birthday celebrations...I'll have to post about all the wonderful surprises that kept me out of town overnight unexpectedly. All good!

I am really looking forward to this new emagazine. I'm not sure yet if I can squeeze any money for it yet but, I do know I'd love to subscribe, I love how it is set up to allow printing of your the patterns and how user friendly it appears to be too. I have access to a machine embroidery magazine online and it jumps all over the screen when you are trying to look at things and saving anything is next to impossible and VERY frustrating. I don't even try on that one but this one I've already tried to play with the printing or saving and it looks wonderful. I am sure everyone will be very pleased at how easy it will be.
I would really love to win your little surprise. I have a close friend who cherishes her family heritage which just happens to be Irish and I'd LOVE to make her an Irish quilt or something that would fit in with her heritage. Her father just died a week ago so it's a very hard time of the year for her right now.

This looks like it will be a good magazine, I subscribed! This last year I dropped all the other magazine subscriptions because I was frankly tired of the clutter and couldn't seem to throw my quilt ones away. This is a good idea.
