I was feeling better after taking two types of antibiotics, so I scooted over to my Pfaff 4.0 Expression, and almost gave it a hug. If you are looking for a great quilting machine, this is it. It is a real workhorse and has made my f
ree motion quilting so much better.Anyways, I decided to make a throw pillow to match the circle quilt and pillowcases that I already sewed. I love how it turned out.I decided to paper piece the front of the throw pillow, and then I appliqued the butterfly to the back of the pillow. I used some of the fabrics that I used in the circle quilt, so everything will match perfectly. By the way, the flowered fabric is darker than is showing up, but Joe took the pics three times, and each time it landed up this way. So picture a deeper, blue flowered patterned fabric.
I am waiting for the fabric for the backing, binding and also for the batting for the circle quilt, and then I can finish that quilt. I can't wait to see the whole ensemble together: Dresden pillowcases, throw pillow and circl
e quilt all together. It will be dazzling!I ordered from Kelly of IHAN the Rose of Sharon book by Sharon Pederson, and of course, she has already shipped it out...Love Kelly and IHAN! Next month, after looking at the book, I will get the Rose of Sharon die and dvd from Kelly also and begin to slowly order the fabric for it. I want to do a few blocks a month while I do other projects. It should be pretty easy with the AccuQuilt GO.
Oh, it is snowing now in Dunfanaghy. Can you believe that? That is so unusual for a village that is near the sea. This morning when we visited the horse, it was hailing. Needless to say, it is cold here, and you know we are going to have a harsher winter this year. It seems to be colder everywhere.
Enjoy your weekends and keep cozy and warm!

You and I seem to be getting the colds this year, I woke up sick again. So, I will be resting and getting some projects finished and writing up some things;)
I have a creative vision, they didn't have the quilting ones like that, so I have a fancy machine that i have no idea how to use. I love it for quilting and free motion and I got a couching foot, so this year I plan on using it and learning what it does.

Your pillows are lovley Micki.
Love your next project. Looking forward to watching your progress.
Snow WOW !! It's cools me down thinking about it as it was 41 cel here today. VERY HOT.
Glad to hear you were feeling so much better.
The sewing looks great! I can't wait to see your Rose of Sharon quilt blocks. But I know it will be a while.
Here is wishing that you continue to feel better and better!
You are very ambitious to make the Rose of Sharon quilt. It's beautiful!
I agree, it seems to be a colder winter everywhere. We already have snow in our foothills, which is almost unheard of in Southern Utah for November.
Lovely pillow and it will look fabulous with your circle quilt. Snowing already! Wow that does make for a harsh start to the winter. Stay warm and well!
Love the pillow you made!
And happy to read you are doing better (o:
Have a peaceful weekend.
Micki,
I am so glad you are feeling better. Isn’t it amazing how much we miss quilting when we can’t get to it. Your pillow is darling, how fun to put the butterfly on the back. The Rose of Sharon is going to be stunning, I’ll be looking forward to your progress.
Stay warm and cozy.
Micki I love your pillow and it will look great with your quilt. I am a big fan of your colors. We had our first big snow last night here in Upstate NY. We have about 3 inches and the wind is unrelenting. I hope you continue to feel better.
I love the back of the pillowcase! Such a cute extra treat!
I'm so glad you're feeling better! You have had quite the Fall!! I succumbed and bought an Accuquilt Go. I'll have a post on it this coming week, but meanwhile, I also have the Rose of Sharon die headed my way. Won't it be fun to see what we each come up with?
The same to you, here in Peroj is sunny but cold, have a nice time, glad to hear that you are going better. regards. The quilt is marvelous. Loredana.
Another thought: Did you know that you can download all of the entries submitted to EQ for the Rose of Sharon challenge? The link is here if you're interested: http://www.electricquilt.com/Users/Downloads/RoseofSharon.asp
You are going to have one amazing set when you get done, can't wait to see all of it together. Your pillow is just wonderful.
I love how you plan things out, and get it all lined up to sew. I think alot of your fun is planning, plotting, and buying around the world....and waiting for it to come in. You have more patience and fortitude.
Great pillows Micki and I can't wait to see you start Rose of Sharon - what a beauty!
The pillows look so pretty. Thank you for the well wishes on my blog. I hope that you get better soon too. It snowed here yesterday, but that is normal for this time of the year here.

Micki, what a challenge the Rose of Sharon will be. It will be just luscious when finished.
Glad to hear you have found some medication to help with the nerve pain. It seems to last such a long time and can be brutal.
Take care.
Beautiful pillow Micki!
I pray you continue to improve, with being able to take less meds as each day comes.
My goodness, your cold weather caught me off guard. If it snows, please take a photo to share.
God Bless you & yours :)
The cushions are great Micki...tha book looks lovely, you will have so much fun with this...Dzintra♥x
Beautiful pillows!You're working so much...!
It is snowing in Galway city too but not down where I live, and I don't think we'll see snow anyway, as we're surrounded by sea...
We are on the verge of summer and have had three days of super rains, flooding in some parts of our state and hail too. I am not complaining as I am dreading a hot summer. So the weather is a little haywire in our part of the world too!
Love your pillow!!
Will look forward to your Rose of Sharon blocks.
Micki, your pillow is gorgeous. That book looks wonderful. Lots of great applique blocks to work on. Glad you are feeling better. My husband had shingles this past summer, but it was around one rib. He said it was pretty miserable and hopes he never gets them again. Enjoy your snow.
I love the trow pillow Micki! Great color choices! I am glad you are doing better, i have been busy and not much on the computer. It snowed a bit here as well, but now it's just chilly!
I hope you feel better my friend!
Hugs!
Zlaty
I have already purchased the Rose or Sharon book, maybe I will start the quilt blocks when I see how pretty yours are. The book is beautiful and I just have to decide what fabric to use.
Micki, I am glad to hear you are feeling so much better. Your pillows are beautiful. Can't wait to see your next "go" quilt.
That's a pretty pillow case, and there's a butterfly hidden on the back!
Glad you're feeling better. Love your pillow. I'll have to check out that machine. I have seen that book and hope to get it myself. Snow! It hasn't hit us yet, but I know it's coming. Ugh!
Glad that you are getting some sewing done they are great
You have a good day
Hugs Janice
Love your pillow. Woke to 6 inches of snow on Saturday morning. Just cold and sunny today. I was hoping that the early snow might mean that winter would be better later on but from what you say, obviously not.
The pillow looks lovely. Good luck with the weather.
Lovely to see your feeling much better and can manage some sewing .
That's new quilt is going to be beautiful Micki..
It's hotting up here now...summer is well and truly here!
Julia ♥
