What's New...It Aint' Good

I sprained my hand, and of course it had to be my right hand. There was water on the floor, and I slipped. I didn't want to fall and injure my legs. as I had enough with injuries with my legs, and grabbed the table and somehow twisted it. I did prevent the fall, so that is good, but my hand is sprained. Luckily, it is only a sprain and no break involved, so I just have to rest. Joe is typing this for me, and he will continue to do so when I want to post. The bad thing is that I can't use the key board. I will just have to do things like read, watch tv, take walks with Joe....I can't think of anything else.
Well, that is the latest. I guess rest is in order....Joe says that is not so bad, but I am not quite seeing it that way. LOL Anyways, I will have Joe be my typist when I want to post, and then I can read the posts myself and have a bit of fun seeing how all of you are doing. I will keep up with reading the blogs, but at this time, can't type, so in about two weeks, I should be fine.

Oh Micki!! what rotten luck:-( You will just have to pretend you are on holiday without your sewing and journaling supplies. I would get some really good old movies (we all love those), lots of books, put a deckchair outside with an umbrella and pretend you are somewhere romantic having a wonderful holiday!! I guess that makes Joe the handsome waiter who will bring you endless supplies of tea:-)))

Hopefully with rest your hand will recover very soon,

Sending you lots of get well soon wishes,
Helen

Oh Micki, I am so sorry to hear this. You've had so much happen lately. I do hope it will be better soon. When I sprained my foot, it took 9 months (but then again, I had to walk on it) and I'm still recovering from my back fracture :-( So glad that you have Joe there to help out. Rest and recover.

Poor you Micki but thank goodness you didn't do any more damage to your leg. Sounds like you are going to find plenty to do during your enforced rest as well as keeping Joe busy at the keyboard.

I'm so sorry Micki, what a bummer! My grandson, visiting from college, thought he'd do a favor and polished the hardwood floors for me, with furniture polish sprayed on the dustmop. I nearly killed myself when I came home from work and Maggie (my dog) can't seem to stand up either. Tomorrow, I will have to try to get it off somehow. I'm glad you didn't break anything. At this house you may have! Don't worry about answering this silly comment. Take it easy and enjoy a good movie or book. Carline

That is not a limb I would want to hurt, lol.
I sure hope it heals quick, but at least you can still go for nice walks and enjoy some outside time.

You need the program that you can talk to and it types for you;)

Sorry to hear about your injury. Maybe you'll get some nice-weather days to sit on a bench outside and read for a bit.......that would be a nice thing to do to pass some time.

Sorry you hurt your hand but glad you have your hubby to help out with the typing. If I had to rely on my hubby to do that I'd probably only have one sentence in the post LOLOLOL Take full advantage while you can girlfriend!

So sorry to hear about your sprain. I'm only glad it wasn't worse! It's so frustrating when there is so much one wants to do, I hate being out of action myself. I hope you have a speedy recovery, maybe some reading or a few nice movies will help the time pass more quickly!

You are lucky that it is just a sprain! A friend of mine broke his wrist and has been out of commission since the big snow storm in January. I hope you get lots of rest and relaxation and then that wrist will be a good as new. Sounds like Joe will be a great caretaker. Get well soon!

Oh sure Micki....and I bet he's doing the dishes too. I'm going to try this one. How much water do I need on the floor and should I put a glass vase on the table before I pull off the table cloth so it makes a large crashing noise too? I gotta get this staged just right....so my Joe can do my stuff too :) LOL

You two might just be one of my favorite married couples...teamwork, love, compassion and shared appreciation for life....yep...it would be you two for sure :)

Hugs,
Kelly
PS...Micki...you might not want to continue telling the world how wonderful Joe is....someone might knock you off just to have Joe...yikes :)
