Yesterday, I was surprised to be given the Proximidade Award by Dzintra at http://dzintrastitcheries.blogspot.com/. This is a lovely award, as it means that this blog invests in and believes that blogging makes us close. I really do believe in that wholeheartedly. Proximidade translated to English means vicinity or neighborhood. I am so lucky to have formed friendships with bloggers like Dzintra from all over the world. I am happy to pass this award to others whom I have met.

It's so funny Micki - I woke up this morning and was thinking to myself, "Isn't it nice that when I go on my blog it feels as though it's a little international neighborhood!" And then I come here and see the word Proximidade, which I noticed is the subject of Dzintra's post as well! I didn't know this word! Too funny! Another strange coincidence.
