Debra Anger from Patchwork Sanity- A Woman's Piece of Mind is my partner in a miniature quilt swap. She just gave a sneak peak of what she is doing on her blog, and it is applique, so I am going to get a beauty of a quilt. My miniature for her is machine pieced and applique. Each block is 3 and a half inches only...There are 9 blocks total, and many of them were hard as the pieces were so small. It was quite the challenge! I am showing you one of the easier blocks, as I don't want to give the surprise away, but you will at least get the idea of how small it is and what types of fabrics I used.I am finished the whole top, but tomorrow, I have to machine quilt it and then put on the binding and hand sew that. I will try to get the miniature quilt sent to Debra this week, and when she gets it, I will be able to post a pic of the completed quilt . I love the way it turned out, and I do hope she likes it.This has been fun, but I was especially happy when I found out that my partner was Debra. I am showing you only one block of the top...All of the miniature quilt is in batiks, and the fabrics are lovely. Remember the blocks are only 3 and a half inches. Joe cropped the rest of the quilt top, so I could give you all a sneak peak of one of the blocks.

How fun - can't wait to see your quilt. Cheny is too cute!
Very tempting peek at your quilt for the exchange. Can't wait to see the final result.
Cheny looks adorable.
Cheny looks like he was born to pose for the camera! I'm sure he's keeping you and Joe busy.
3 1/2 inches??? That is small, but it looks wonderful.
Ahhh....Cheny is sooooo cute. What a little ball of fluff!!!
I can't wait to see the entire quilt.
Cheny is adorable
I love the beautiful colors of your quilt! Soft and soothing colors! ♥ And thanks for writing me today! OWOH is SO much fun this year! ♥
Oh I love, love, love batiks and your block is wonderful. And, my your kitty is adorable. I'd love a kitty; but, my two dogs say no.
Can't wait to see more of your quilt.
Cheny is so cute, and so beautiful.
Debbie
I've never heard of that breed, but he's so sweet!
If he is half as much fun as he is cute, then you've gotten a real treasure!! Looking forward to seeing the whole quilt!
Cheny is so pretty!
My GD would love Chey. She is a great cat lover.
Cheny is very beautiful and cute. Such stunning eyes!
I've admired the small purse of the previous post, it's so nice and the colors are perfect! Enjoy your week, Clara.
P.S.: new background? I like it!
I love mini quilts, and one day hope to start making a couple. I'm sure yours is lovely, will be watching for the whole picture. Adorable kitty photo!!!!
I love the colors in your quilt and your kitty is so adorable. =)
Cheney is just so cute - a real poser too. The colours in that block are gorgeous.
Well with a face like that who wouldn't!! Love the colours of the fabric in you 'teaser' photo!
Super cute kitty. I'll look forward to seeing the finished project.
Cheny is adorable. I love darling bits of kitty fluff. 8)
You asked how I made the blanket stitch on Pierre Lapin. Well, it's stitch #330 on my Bernina Artista 180. Basically, it is a blanket stitch which goes back and forth three times for each leg of the stitch. It takes forever, but it makes a nice stitch that is as heavy looking as if it were done with Pearl Cotton, which is what I wanted.
Take care and pet Cheny for me,
Susan in Texas
She is getting bigger and still adorable.
Well...maybe you already know this, but I am soooo NOT a cat person....BUT... your little white ball of fluff is RATHER ADORABLE! I can't believe I even said that! lol
Oh Micki, he is so cute! I'm a cat person without cat, but one day when I have more time to attend to animal I will get one of him - thanks for sharing - Hugs Nat
what a cute kitty xx
OH MY GOSH! I ADORE Cheny. What an adorable little fluff ball. Is he a Bluepoint? I have a Bluepoint Ragdoll that is THE most awesome cat I've ever owned. Such a great temperment and my buddy who follows me from room to room. He does NOT want me to be out of his sight. Ever. He even races us to he back door when he knows we're getting ready to leave. I'm not sure if he thinks we'll change our mind because of his cute little face or what but it doesn't work and we leave. When we get home he's behind the door yelling very loudly at us and then winds around between our feet from the back door all the way to my sewing/computer room all the while tripping me most of the time. LOL He's a stinker. Would not trade him for the world though. I bet your little fluff ball will be the same way.
Great colors on your little quilt! And that kitty is such a cutie; love his nose.
HELLO SWEET MICKI!!!! Oh, your Kitty is just darling! And as always, you always have lovely craft projects on the back burner! I so wish I had the time to make things! Thank you for your kind words and visits...it means a lot to us all, doesn't it, to get visits from afar!
Have a magnificent evening! Anita
Your baby is just adorable. Cheny looks like he is looking around for a pal. Sheer happiness are two mezzies cuddled together napping.
Kitty is cute and love the colors,
That thar is a teeny weeny peek!! I can`t even guess what it is and I am so excited...I won`t have mine as quick to you but it will meet the deadline!! I just can`t wait and I am so glad that you took a challenge with it that way it is special to you and to me.
Debra was over to my house last night and I saw what she is working on for you .... and all I will say is "beautiful, beautiful, beautiful" and leave it at that.
Your ears must have been burning because we talked about you quite a bit.
Sweet kitty!
Love the colors in your mini quilt. Can't wait to see the entire quilt. 3" blocks? That would try my patience but it would be a fun challenge.
Cheny is still adorable. I don't think that will ever change. Glad to hear that he has settled in well and is being a good kitty.
Beautiful block! Cheney is just about the cutest kitten I've seen...what a darling!
The work is nice and lovely colours, but Chenny is ... oh I fall in love with him, first Chenny than Lea, or viceversa. Nice weekend. Loredana
I cant wait to see your finished quilt and I love the kitty.
Hi Micki, I just love the cute cat, lovely coloured eyes and a nose you would want to press. Kind regards, Anita.
