Amateur Crufts Dog Show

The Dunfanaghy Festival has been all week. Today, we had our Amateur Crufts Dog Show. There was a band set up at our town square, a mechanical bronco ride, and of course the dog show. Before the dog show, Joe and I went to the Workhouse to have a cup of coffee and their ever popular meringue with creme. We then headed out to the dog show. The band was playing prior to the show, but then finally all of the dogs arrived, and they began the judging. It was so cute! All the dogs had to walk around, but my all time favorite , which was the pug, came in second place. A Weirmarner got the first place prize and then the dogs went in a group and lots of pics were taken..Cameras were flashing, and there were many proud dog owners there. You may wonder why my two dogs were not there...Charlie, who as you know is a corgi/heeler and quite handsome and funny with his big bat like ears, and of course Rufus, our border collie, who has dreamy, brown eyes and a beautiful black, shiny coat. Well, Charilie would have slept through it all, and Rufus would have savaged and eaten the crowd, so my guys lost their chance for fame and stayed home. Anyway, It was all great craic.
