Food Shopping in Dunfanaghy and Local Restaurants

I love how food shopping is done here in Dunfanaghy. We have a small local market named Ramseys, which you can go to. It is really tiny, but very nice and friendly. Then on Tuesdays and Saturdays, we have the fish truck which comes with the best fish you can imagine. It parks in the town square, and it is so convenient. Then on Thursdays, we get the meat truck. The fruit and vegetable truck comes on Friday, but it is in Falcarragh, the town right next to us and only one bus stop away.....lots of organically grown fruit and veggies. The best thing is on Saturdays....It is the country market in the Ozanam Centre. There, you can buy all kinds of local foods and crafts. There are homemade breads, jams, and lots of other delicacies. Joe and I love the cakes, and so many things are organically grown. We always sit at the tables available and have a cup of coffee and some cakes all for two euro each. It makes for a lovely morning. Here is a pic of our town square...These are performers who were so good during our Seafood Festival. We always find something to celebrate about. Oh yes, we have a health food store in town named the Green Man which has a bright red storefront. As far as restaurants We have recently reopened Carraig Rua Hotel, which is only the second hotel in Ireland, which is alcohol free. There is also the Arnold Hotel, which is right to the entrance of our town. Our favorite hangout is An Chistin, which in gaelic means The Kitchen and boy is their food good and so reasonable. The local bars of course have their own food which is excellent and the best one by far is Molly's Bar. We have two coffee shops...one in Muck and Muffins and one in the Workhouse. The name Muck and Muffins represents the coffee shop (therefore "Muffins") and the pottery shop below represents "Muck"( the clay used to make the potteries).
